Friday Transporting to Information and Visitor Center, revealed by the Directorate of Nature Park „Blue Stones” (Sinite kamani) in order to present the protected area. The Blue Stones is a nature park, part of the Eastern Balkan Mountains, located north of the town of Sliven. Its name comes from the rock formations, which are part of the park and can be seen from the city. They differ dramatically from the relief of the rest of the Balkan Mountains. The blue color comes from a specific moss with which are covered the rocks. Depending on the weather and the season, this moss looks different blue, gray or green. The very name of the park comes from the Crimean soultan Selim Geren – the Sliven Alps, who called the area as early as 1702. The highest point in the park is Bulgarka peak - 1181 m, which is the highest peak in the Eastern Balkan Mountains. Bulgarka peak is easily accessible and frequently visited by tourists. The exhibition of the Information and Visitor Centre provides a broad perspective of the park - non-living nature, mosses, lichens, fungi, grass, tree and shrub species, the conservation status of plants and animals and the diversity of fauna. Visit to the bottom lift station / 15 minutes free time / This is the most interesting way to climb up in the Natural Park „Blue Stones”. It is only a half-hour ride with the lift. Climbing to the natural phenomenon „Halkata” (The ring) / 15 minutes free time for photos / this one is one of the remarkable natural rock phenomenons in the park.
