Tuesday Visit Karanovo mound located next to the house, one of the most important prehistoric sites on the Balkans and in Europe. Here are covered all prehistoric eras - from Neolithic to Bronze. The mound was inhabited for about 3000 years.
Wednesday Hiking with a mountain guide through the ancient Thracian settlement near the village of Kriva krusha to Edrevo village (about 4 hours). On the north of Karanovo mound excavations of a large Roman and medieval settlement are made. A rotunda was discovered - pagan temple of white hewn blocks. In the village of Kriva krusha there were secret tunnels and hiding places of rebel leaders in the nineteenth century. From the village a path goes to the nearest rebels meeting point called Ruseva niva.
Thursday Fishing day at Jrebchevo dam. The lake and river Tunja are located about 15 km. from the village.
Friday Visit to the tomb (mound) of the last king of Odrin Thracia - Remetalk III, a personal friend of Emperor Claudius, who was killed as a suspect of conspiracy organized by the Thracian aristocracy. The murder served the emperor as a basis to annex the kingdom of the turkish and create a new Roman province - Thracia. In the eastern mound there is located a chariot – quadricycle, dissembled and laid in the typical ritual „funeral of chariots” accompanying the funerals of the Thracian aristocrats of I - II century AD. It is finely decorated with different figures.
Saturday Hiking a mountain guide from hut Bukovets to Chumerna peak in Stara Planina (about 3 hours). Picturesque scenery and unforgettable views of the Thracian plain.
Sunday Departure
