About 7 km south of Kotel is situated in the ancient wall partition Iron Gates (Vratnik, Demir pepper), which has been associated with Vida fortress peak of the same name.
At the foot of the top Greek dol area is where the Byzantines were defeated by troops of Khan Krum in 811 and Ivailo on July 17, 1280.

Art Gallery «D. Dobrovich »stems from 1905 - a legacy of the Cultural Center "Dawn" by Renaissance artist D. Dobrovich. In the 30's collection passed to the Department of Art History Museum - Sliven. In 1965 granted the status of an autonomous cultural institution of the official name.
Art Gallery «D. Dobrovich "and a separate building for the permanent exhibition. Today the art gallery has a collection of 6000 works in painting, prints, sculpture and icons. The gallery has four permanent exhibitions deployed at three sites.
