| Kotel Museum of Revival |
The exposure of the museum is located in 4 halls, divided into 4 sections - Leaders, educators, Rebels and Revolutionaries. The four halls illustrate life and work of more than 200 national heroes in the region. Here are found the remains of Patriarch of the Bulgarian national revolution Rakovski. The marble sarcophagus was covered with bronze flag with the sacred words "Liberty or Death." Is buried and a copy of his sword.
First Meeting "Leaders" are exposed original manuscripts and belongings of Bishop Sofronii Vratsa. Furthermore, it can be traced all his life and work, here are the first Bulgarian printed books - including the first "Nedelnik", and the Sofronii in manuscript and print. Second Hall enlightenment "here you can see the development of Bulgarian renaissance literature since its inception. Trial exhibits are a regular number of the first Bulgarian magazine Ljuboslovie "books best - known writers: N. Bozveli, A. Granitski Kipilovski A., ST. Izvorski and many others. Here is the first Bulgarian primer on Dr. Petar Beron - I, III and IV edition, and the heart of the great Bulgarian. Third Meeting "Rebels" is the hall of Cap. George Mamarchev Cap. Valkov Boyfriend leader. Besides the rich collection of weapons haidouk exhibit is the personal stamp of Mamarchev. Fourth Hall Revolutionaries "is dedicated to Georgi Rakovski. Especially valuable are located here of his personal belongings and manuscripts, a copy of his personal weapon collection of weapons from the Russian - Turkish war including shotgun Winchester.
В централната част на град Котел, люлката на Българското национално Възраждане, се издига внушителната белокаменна сграда на Пантеон на Г. С. Раковски. Открит е на 10.10. 1981г. на неговия 160 рождения ден. Висок свод, широко мраморно стълбище, саркофаг, приел костите на великия котленски син, в чийто кратък живот е записана историята на национално – революционната борба. Златни букви светят в гранита: Г. С. Раковски 1821 – 1867. Бронзово знаме със заветни думи “ Свобода или смърт “. Тук е положена сабята, която той е размахвал в своя бунтовен порив. Срещу саркофага е бронзовата скулптора “ Възкресение “ на з.х. Д. Бойков, разкриваща символично мъката и страданието на майка-България към всички нейни синове, загинали за свободата на Отечеството.
