Sava Dobroplodni Library was established in 1955. Since 1995 the school became a deposit, popular science, children's literature.
Under Decree 153/28.07.2000 it gained the status of a regional library - a major cultural and scientific information center operating in the territory of Sliven and Yambol regions.

It has a unique multi-fund, numbering more than 265,000 library units. Particularly valuable is the collection of early printed books published during 1806-1878 year. The library has an archive of local newspapers and a center of reference and bibliography and information and bibliography of the homeland, a regional center for interlibrary services, and methodological and coordination center for all types of libraries within the two areas. In 1995 with financial support from the British Council was opened downtown in support of English learning. 1999 and operates an electronic reading room with Internet access. Through free access to Internet and information technologies library has an area of open dialogue, it is part of the information society without borders. 1999 is the initiator and main organizer of the only country in the Children's Book Festival. Contribution to the promotion and popularization of the Bulgarian book library has won prestigious national and international awards. Maintains international contacts with a number of libraries and cultural institutions in Europe, USA and Canada, working in collaboration with embassies, cultural and information centers, and many donors from many countries.
