From 1984. excavations with international participation, together with Zalburtskiya University - Austria. Excavations of the mound Karanovo lead to discoveries that go far beyond its national significance and contribution to the development of world archeology. Unfortunately, all exhibits which are found in it are located in Sofia and Nova Zagora and so people who visit it failed to touch the spirit and traditions of the time. 12.40 meter layer cultures allowed to learn very well stratigraphic profile of prehistoric settlement, and he in turn help to periodizira culture of individual layers. Thus was established chronological Karanovo system, which gained recognition among experts. It serves as a model of cultural development in the Neolithic, Chalcolithic and the first half of the Bronze Age in southern Bulgaria.
