According to the ministry when over 80% of tourist business in Bulgaria is concentrated in 5 percent of the country. Simultaneously, it is a characterized by seasonality. The ministry absorbs 32 million euros for tourism from the "Regional Development". Due to the closure of the State Tourism Agency (STA) and move it to the new ministry, the placing of contracts for individual projects and the negotiation of other funds is slow.
