New brand-Thracian tourist area
Created on 21 April this year Thracian tourist area will work actively to create a new brand of the same name, said its chairman Lyubozar Fratev. The new association was created by the Tourism Council of Plovdiv and the efforts of municipalities, NGOs, businesses, schools, cultural institutes and others. For more effective management of tourism in a region - historically and geographically known as Thrace and covering several areas in southern Bulgaria, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Sliven and Yambol.
The concept of regionalization of the country's tourism is based on the experience of leaders in this most dynamic sector of world economy, countries like Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Austria and others.
The Association will conduct effective efficient marketing policy and promotion of Thracian tourist area in the country and abroad.
Chairman of the Board of Tourism Trakia region composed of 12 people was elected President of the Council of Tourism - Plovdiv Municipal Council Lyubozar Fratev and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Mayor Municipal Vassil Donev.
